Angkor Wat, a World Heritage site, is best known for it's iconic temples. But for me the real beauty of this ancient city is found in a closer look at the remarkable carvings in stone. Wind, water, minerals leaching to the surface and most importantly time, gift us with a gorgeous patina of soft pastels and almost unbelievable forms. Truly a global treasure.
